Inspired by the quality of the characters of some realistic games like Alan Wake 2, TLOU, and Man of Medan (among others), I've been working this last time in creating a real-time full character that could match and live in one of those universes.
I made everything from scratch as a way to exercise and push forward my skills, no scan data or starter base meshes were used.
I created also the shaders in Unreal for the Hair, Skin, and Outfit.
The shader for the Outfit works with Unreal Layer System and allows access and customization of different parts of the outfit based on custom masks exported from Substance Painter, this way final tweaking and lookdev is made in the Engine.

As a bit of background for the character, she is Emma, a rocker with a problematic relationship with her dad, who died recently, and supernatural-medium abilities since she was a kid. She didn't have an easy life, but at least she found her peace time to time singing in her own rock band...
Her name is an honor to my colleague and first in Sharkmob since the day I started.
