Contanza Bonarelli Sculpt - Process video
Hi all!
After many sculptures that I did not dare to upload and they remained as personal practices saved on a hard disk ... I am finally uploading my last study of the Bust of Constanza Bonarelli, by the famous Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
It was an arduous process getting close to the references (as there are them with all types of lighting and lenses) and it involved me having to start over twice, but it has been a wonderful practice of anatomy and volumes.
Like most artists I suppose I could be correcting details for eternity but finally it can be said that I am happy with the result so far and I think it is time to close this sculpture and move on to a new project.
The marble material was created from scratch in Substance Painter and the rendering was done with Marmoset Toolbag 4, with Raytracing.
At the end of the post, there is a video summary of the sculpture process. Mainly I have taken a long time studying the proportions and sculpting from the profile, as recommended by Scott Eaton.
I hope you like it, and as always comments and feedback are welcome.
